Summary: In the late fall of 1942, thousands of German soldiers set out to fight one of the bloodiest battles of all times. Stalingrad is the story of four such soldiers, as they struggle against both physical and emotional enemies. Loyal and proud to serve their country, the soldiers are whisked off to the front lines. But because of a devastating loss of infantry, the battle lines shift. The anonymity of the enemy is lost and the soldiers must face the war literally eye to eye. No longer faceless, the idea of who the enemy is begins to blur for the four men. After being arrested for seeking medical attention, the soldiers decide to flee from their prison, facing a fate as tragic as the war itself.
